Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a health care community that allows resident decisions and choices to direct and shape his or her life. We strive to ensure that all aspects of your well-being are met - including mental, physical and spiritual - in a safe, home-like environment that promotes independence while maintaining dignity. Through the partnership of resident and facility, individualized plans of care are developed that are reflective of a resident's life and will meet health care needs, support personal goals, and promote resident-centered care.
At Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the quality and scope of our services have earned us a reputation as one of the area’s leading skilled nursing providers. We continue to add special programs and undergo staff training that enables us to treat a range of complex medical conditions. In addition to 24-hour nursing care, we offer a broad variety of medical services such as IV antibiotics, tracheostomy care, diabetic care, dialysis support, stroke care and wound management.
Dietary Program
Each meal at our facility is prepared under the supervision of a certified dietitian to ensure that every resident gets a nutritional meal according to their particular diet. Alternate menu options are also available upon request of the resident to cater to each individual’s tastes and preferences. Guest trays for lunchtime visitors are available upon request; please notify us by 10:00 AM the day of your visit if you plan to eat lunch. Sample Menu
Beauty/Barber Shop
One of our most popular spots in our facility is the on-site beauty shop which offers just about anything our residents need to always look their best without ever having to leave the facility. The beauty shop is open four days a week and offers a list of services including shampoo/blow dry, permanent color, permanent wave, highlights, beard trimming, etc. Haircuts are offered free of charge by the facility once a month.
Religious Services
We recognize the importance of faith in the lives of our residents and we are very familiar with the healing power of God as we see it every day. We offer a Bible study and worship services multiple times a week often with live choir performances courtesy of local church groups. If you would like to host a worship service, please contact us.
Activities Program
We believe that a stimulating environment is critical to a good quality of life. With daily events ranging from musical performances, animal shows, social events, and games, our activities program is sure to have something that appeals to everyone.
Laundry Services
All laundry services are taken care of by the facility; however family members may take laundry to do at home if they wish. We use iron-on labels in each piece of clothing upon admission, so it is not necessary to write his/her name in them. Please tell one of our staff members if you bring clothes so we know to put a label in them.
Social Services
Our social worker assists families with navigating through the admission process and transitioning into the facility. Social services will work with the family on discharge plans and arranging for home equipment and home health services to follow up on the home.
Care Band System
Many nursing facilities boast having a “Secure Unit” or “Alzheimer’s Unit” for memory care patients, which essentially blocks off those residents to the rest of the facility to ensure their safety. Rather than confining memory care patients to one area, we use what we call the care band system. These ankle bracelets sound an alarm to notify staff that one of the residents is near a door and they can accompany them.
The focus of our therapy program is improving each patient’s quality of life by providing therapy and support to help the patient reach his or her maximum potential. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, or speech therapy.
